This is more of a one sided family destination, where the kids enjoy themselves and the parents are just there to accompany them. Nevertheless, parents might even be able to learn a thing or two in Petrosains – The Discovery Centre.

Petrosains – The Discovery Centre is an exhibit that provides a hands-on experience and a new interactive and fun way for children to learn about science. This exhibit is an extension of PETRONAS’ social corporate responsibility, with the objectives of providing a rich and stimulating environment to further enhance science literacy and the passion for acquiring science related knowledge within the fellow Malaysians.

It provides a whole new avenue of learning aside from the boring textbooks, schools and tuition classes which would probably put your child to sleep. Long story short, it is a place where fun meets science.

This exhibit extends over 7,000 square feet and is filled with special themes and ‘travels’, including a time travelling capsule that would take you back to the ages when dinosaurs walked the earth. There will be special events and workshops for kids to attend during this school holidays.

There is also a gift shop, which allows you to take home bits of your fun filled experiences as well  as other related souvenirs back home.
